Grilled Pizza

Summer is intended to be spent outside, away from the oven. If you've never tried grilled pizza before, now is the moment. It's lot easy than you think, and there's no need for a pizza stone! The dough for this simple grilled pizza recipe is placed directly on the grill. The crust is precisely burnt on the outside, crispy on the inside, and chewy on the inside, with lots of melty cheese on top.

Get everything you need ready.

Here's our #1 tip for success. Prep everything you are going to need before you start grilling. The grilling part goes fast. We're talking 4 minutes tops, so don't wait to slice your tomatoes until the pizza is on the grill. Have everything ready and near you so that as soon as you flip the pizza crust, you can start topping and pull your pizza off the grill as soon as it's done.

Can I use a pizza stone?

Yes! If you have a pizza stone and prefer to utilize it, go ahead! Close the cover and place your pizza stone on the grill grates. Warm up your grill on the highest setting for a substantial period of time. When you place the pizza dough on the pizza stone, it must be hot! You won't need to turn your crust if you use a pizza stone, so you may top with chosen toppings straight after laying the dough on the stone.

What pizza dough should I use?

We love our pizza dough for all sorts of pizza, and it grills well! If you have readymade dough, that will also work well. You can even request pizza dough from your neighborhood restaurant!

What should I top it with?

This is the exciting part! We kept ours basic and fresh because that's what we desire in the summer. You may top it like a traditional with sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni, or go all out and add pineapple! We enjoy an excellent grilled BBQ chicken pizza as well.

Do you enjoy white pizza? Us too! We've even discovered that white pizza works better with particular toppings, such as sausage with broccoli rabe or figs and prosciutto.

Whatever way you enjoy your pizza, this grilled version will work great. Because the pizza cooks in such a short period of time, be sure that all of the elements that must be cooked first are already prepared before you begin.

What about dessert pizza?

It only makes sense to create some dessert pizzas if you're already planning a pizza party. Simply coat the pizza crust with butter and cinnamon sugar before topping with nutella, bananas, and fruit. We encourage you to try new things! Better still, let your visitors create their own pizzas!
